I’m excited to get back on the streets of Milwaukee once again, but at a different distance this time. I was happy to run in this event once again (I did the half marathon last year) even if it is not the half or full. (The reasoning for that is because the week before I am running the Chicago Marathon and wasn’t sure how I would feel one week later)

One of the best parts of this race is the scenery. You get to run through 13 different beautiful and exciting neighborhoods, eyeballing all the various structures and natural beauty of Milwaukee. The crowds on the sidelines are pumped up and provide great support as well. I know weather can be iffy in October races but last year was about as perfect as you could get; sunny day with mild temps that were perfect for running. Another sweet reason to join this run is the swag material, particularly the shirt and medal. Last year was a nice long-sleeve performance t-shirt. And there was a very nice medal to show off which went well as I was drinking my tasty beer, provided by local brewery, Sprecher.

This really is a race you should look into and soon since it is coming up fast. But, lucky you, there is still time to join me for a fun morning of racing and post race partying!
